Our Humble Beginning

Ridge Kids Playcare began its journey in May 2023 as a private day home nestled in the serene neighborhood of Whispering Ridge. With a vision to create a nurturing environment for children, we started small, focusing on providing personalized care and attention to each child. 

 

Growth into a Licensed Daycare

Our commitment and passion for child care have led us to a new milestone. By January 2025, Ridge Kids Playcare evolved into a beautiful, licensed daycare. We are thrilled to witness our space ‘blooming’ with the joyous laughter and smiles of many sweet little faces. This transformation reflects our continuous efforts to offer a safe, caring, and educational environment for children in our community.

Meeting New Needs

As we expanded, we faced new challenges that required us to adapt and grow. To ensure the safety and well-being of the children in our care, we needed to install a comprehensive fire alarm system. This installation was crucial for obtaining our increased capacity, but it also represented an unexpected financial expenditure for us.

In April 2025, the government implemented a significant policy change by removing subsidies for low-income families and replacing them with a universal grant. This grant aims to make childcare more affordable, targeting a flat rate of $15 per day, per child. However, many families still find themselves struggling to meet even this reduced cost. In response, we have launched the "Sponsor a Child" initiative to support those in need, allowing families to focus on what truly matters—their well-being and future.
